ABOUT CYNTHIA BALISTOCKY

The Fiduciary you need.
The trust, experience, and work ethic you want.
Cynthia Balistocky is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary, a National Certified Guardian with the Center for Guardianship Certification, Paralegal, and Kentucky Notary Public. Earning the title of Licensed Professional Fiduciary in November 2014, she is the managing member of Cynthia Balistocky Fiduciary Services, LLC, Versailles, Kentucky.
Cynthia holds certificates in Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees and Conservators and is also a Licensed Notary Public. She received her Associate of Liberal Arts degree from San Diego Mesa College, San Diego, California, with a concentration in Social Work. She earned her Paralegal Certificate with honors from the University of San Diego.
Cynthia believes strongly in continuing her education to not only stay current with the latest developments and skills required for her fields of expertise, but also to branch out and develop new skills to make her an even more effective Fiduciary. For example, she recently obtained a Certificate in “Elder Mistreatment: Understanding Abuse and Neglect” from the American Society of Aging, through the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. Cynthia is an active member of the American Society of Aging, the National Guardian Association and the Center for Guardianship Certification.
Living her formative years in Chicago, Cynthia takes pride in being grounded in Midwestern values and a strong work ethic—which go a long way to helping her develop solid, trusting relationships with her clients and the organizations she works with. Individual integrity and humility are such a big part of those Midwestern values.
Now residing in the beautiful and bucolic Bluegrass Region of Kentucky after 17 years in San Diego, Cynthia represents clients nationwide, while still retaining all her clients in California. Her wide range of Fiduciary, Paralegal, and Forensic Accounting services provide her clients with a unique, knowledgeable, and full-service approach to the many estate challenges facing her clients. She also continues to do accountings for her Attorney clients in San Diego.
Where Cynthia’s values stand out even more is in her desire to give back—that is, what she does to help others. Cynthia volunteered for Voices for Children in San Diego acting as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and advocated for six children in the foster care system. Here in Kentucky, she is now a CASA with CASA of Lexington advocating for one child. Nothing is more important to Cynthia than being able to help create better and brighter futures for children who have only experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment in their lives. Cynthia becomes an important transformative figure for them, making a difference that will last their lifetimes.
Her love of animals has drawn her to volunteer at the Lexington Humane Society where she actively enjoys the hands-on experience of supporting their cause, as well as being an advocate in off-site fundraising activities.
When she has spare time for herself, Cynthia enjoys yoga, riding horses, cooking, baking, bird watching, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Paul, their three llamas, Curly Sue, Fernando and Slick and her many nieces and nephews.
